Announcing Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate Saturday in Norfolk, Mitt Romney in a rookie move, slipped and called Ryan “the next president of the United States” — then came back on stage and corrected himself. The Twit flubbed the only line that counted. Even McCain wasn’t this stupid.
“Today’s a good day for America, and there are better days ahead,” Romney said on the USS Wisconsin.
“Join me in welcoming the next president of the United States, Paul Ryan.”
When Ryan came up to the podium, Romney came back and corrected himself.
“Every now and then I’m known to make a mistake,” Romney said. “I did not make a mistake with this guy. But I can tell you this. He’s going to be the next vice president of the United States.”
Sorta like Bush did for 8 years, Mitt?
