From DAILY KOS … The StopRush Project has announced that over 2,200 sponsors have pulled ads from Limbaugh’s show, via documented messages/statements. Many other sponsors have left his show quietly, bringing the actual amount of sponsors who have left, to a higher, unknown total. Sponsor contact is working! Bolting Sponsors Impact on Clear Channel – Rush’s “New Advertiser” Revealed

This week Clear Channel tried to minimize the impact the fleeing advertisers from The Rush Limbaugh show has had on the company. Clear Channel said they’re shifting disgruntled advertisers onto other programs. Here’s the reality: there are a finite number of commercials spots in radio. If you take commercials off one Limbaugh program and shift them to another Clear Channel program, you’re simply bumping commercials that were already in place on other programs. You’re still losing advertisers. Admist already declining bottom number for Clear Channel, losing advertisers on Rush exacerbates a bigger program.
